Many of life’s dilemmas are rooted in the conflict between what we want to be capable of in order to achieve a fulfilled and happy life and what is holding us back in ourselves. This is usually a conflict between our unconscious and conscious and cognitive hypnotherapy uses the trance state and NLP techniques to help each individual who comes to therapy to resolve that conflict and start to live more fully.

Hypnotherapy utilises trance states to enable therapeutic change on an unconscious level. This is possible as most of our unwanted behaviours and emotions are done at that level. The trance states are similar to experience as the trance states we are in throughout our daily lives, when day-dreaming ‘lost in thought’, or when performing tasks like driving a familiar route and then arriving at your destination without being able to recollect how you got there.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy uses NLP which is the study of how our mind interprets the information it receives through our senses. It is a way of identifying negative thought patterns in order to change them or release them to enable us to live more the life we want.
